TMH’s Second Anniversary In South Africa

In April 2021, TMH celebrated its 2nd anniversary in South Africa - the company’s 45 000 m² facility in Boksburg was officially inaugurated on 2 April 2019. To date TMH has grown significantly in South Africa, increasing its workforce by over 60 % to 260. It has also achieved globally recognised certifications in the rail industry. This includes the EN 15085-2 Certification Level CL which demonstrates TMH Africa’s competence in the control of welding quality in the production of railway vehicles and components in accordance with European standards.

In addition, TMH Africa continues to deliver localised workmanship in:
- new build manufacturing of diesel locomotives and passenger coaches,
- life cycle maintenance for freight and passenger rolling stock,
- rolling stock modernisation and service.

Today TMH Africa is the worldwide center of excellence for the narrow gauge within the TMH Group. TMH has concluded projects for amongst other OEMs and private sector clients Wabtec, Progress Rail and Sasol."
