RZD’s New Class EP20 Locomotives
The scene on the Russian rail network is changing rapidly nowadays. One of the most challenging demands is the provision of new locomotives and trains to meet the demand for shorter journey times and higher operating speeds of passenger services.

Inspiro For Metro Warszawskie
Siemens’s Infrastructure & Cities Sector has been focusing on product platforms for some time. The Inspiro® range of trains was the latest development for metros and now forms the basis for the new vehicles for Metro Warszawskie.

Czech Raildays 2012
Czech Raildays is an annual event in Ostrava, held in the freight yard adjacent to the principal station. The trade fair focuses on all aspects of rail transport, and also on various modes of urban public transport.
The 13th edition was held between 19 and 21 June and brought 178 exhibiting companies, and 6,338 registered visitors, 80 % of whom were rail industry professionals.

Deliveries Begin Of RZD’s WLABmz Sleepers
On 2 August 2009 RZD awarded a contract for 200 Type WLABmz sleeping cars to Tversky vagono-stroitelny zavod (TVZ), with Siemens appointed as the main subcontractor.

Next Generation Train - The Revolution
The DLR (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt) is widely known as a governmental German aerospace research organisation with a workforce of about 7,000 - most of them scientists. Over the past ten years security, energy and transport research areas have been added to DLR’s range of activities. From 2007 transport research for rail vehicles has engaged the capabilities of several DLR institutes in one theme - the Next Generation Train (NGT).
