HKX: The First Four Months
With the start of the 2013 timetable, we decided to see how the Hamburg-Köln-Express open access passenger operation is faring.

Koleje Śląskie Takes Over Local Train Services In Śląsk
In summer 2012 the office of the Chairman of the provincial council in Województwo Śląskie decided that as from December 2012 local services within the province should be provided by the local, province-owned operator, Koleje Śląskie (KŚ).
On 9 December 2012 at Wisła Głębce in the Beskidy mountains train 44013 „Beskid“ is provided by the brand new 35WE-007, a six-car Impuls EMU delivered by Newag in early December 2012. On the left is one of the Class EN76 ELFs delivered from PESA in 2010/11.

A PESA Update
On 4 December 2012 we once again visited PESA’s works to keep abreast of the manufacturer’s progress in building trains for domestic and export markets.
