Eurotunnel And Eurostar Developments
2015 will be a momentous year for Channel Tunnel operations, with the prospect of the entry into service of the new Siemens-built Class 374 EMUs in December, and the imminent appearance of the first refurbished Class 373 EMUs. Passenger and freight traffic is on the increase, but spring and summer 2015 will be memorable for other reasons...
The latest Class 374 delivery was on 4 August 2015, the train formed of power cars 17 and 18. Haulage was provided by Eurotunnel’s rescue locomotives 0003, 0007 and 0002.

Under a project known as the Chemnitzer Modell, some of these railways are now being integrated in a tram-train network, for which 12 electro-diesel tram-trains are currently being built by a consortium formed of Vossloh España and Vossloh Kiepe.
