Russian TRAXX Visits Shcherbinka
Between 1 and 3 June 2016, Sochi will host the 11th International Rail Business Forum 1520 Strategic Partnership. A large collection of news from Russia and other CIS countries includes also an item about the Russian TRAXX.

RegioJet Consolidates Progress
In 2015 RegioJet recorded substantial patronage increases and an operating profit, but in consequence is finding that its present rolling stock and certain infrastructure capacity characteristics are not quite tailored to proposed service expansions.

All ex-SNCB Class 12 Electrics In The Czech Republic
On 10 April 2013 one of the SNCB locomotives, 1203, arrived in the Czech Republic. Its rebuilding is scheduled for completion in late May or early June 2016. While 1203 was being rebuilt CZ LOKO received enquiries from a number of clients expressing interest in hiring the Class 12s, thus prompting the company to purchase the remaining 11.

New 950 mm Gauge DMUs In Sardegna
In March 2014 Azienda Regionale Sarda Trasporti awarded Stadler a contract, including maintenance for four years, for four two-car Type ADeS DMUs for the 950 mm gauge lines from Sassari to Alghero and Sorso. Deliveries took place in autumn 2015, all trains being present on the island by late November and realising authorisation test runs.

Class Gmf 4/4 234 Diesel Locomotives In Service
On 24 March 2016 RhB’s new Class Gmf 4/4 234 locomotives were awarded definitive authorisation by BAV for regular operation, also when in multiple and hauling the snow blowers. We offer readers a look at their final testing phase and their future use.

Revitalising Gmunden’s Tramway
The arrival of eight new Tramlinks from the Stadler Rail València factory will assist in the transformation of Austria’s shortest, steepest and oldest surviving tramway system into a modern StadtRegioTram network. Three more Tramlinks are destined for the Attergaubahn, which links Vöcklamarkt with Attersee.
