First Desiro City EMU Cars

The first Desiro City EMU contract was that by First Capital Connect, awarded in June 2013 to a consortium led by Siemens, for new trains for Thameslink services. The first cars for these trains are now being completed. Here we see one end car and one intermediate car arriving at the RTA Rail Tec Arsenal climatic testing centre on 23 January 2014.
