First UL-Built Lastochka

On 30 May 2014 Uralskie lokomotivy (UL) presented ES2G-001, the first Lastochka EMU to be built at Verkhnaya Pyshma. The first photo shows (from left to right) Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gruppa Sinara, Dmitry Pumpyansky, the Governor of Sverdlovskaya Oblast, Yevgeny Kuyvashev, RZD’s Senior Vice-President for Innovation Development, Valentin Gapanovich, and the CEO of Siemens’s Rail Systems Division, Jochen Eickholt. The train is scheduled to leave the works on 6 June to visit Shcherbinka for a series of acceptance and certification tests.
