A New Era Dawns For Poland’s Railways
Despite the troubles experienced mainly in 2014 by the Polish „Pendolino“ project, both the producer and operator managed to put part of the fleet into regular service on the very first day of the new 2015 timetable, Poland thus becoming the first ex-Eastern bloc EU member country, except East Germany, to operate regular passenger trains at 200 km/h.
The first regular „Pendolino“ train was EIP 3500/1 from Kraków to Gdynia formed by ED250-014, which is shown here arriving on Track 1 at Warszawa Centralna.
