According to the contract awarded in late June 2020, Voith will produce electrical equipment for new HeiterBlick-built trams for Würzburg. On 9 December 2019 WVV (Würzburger Versorgungs- und Verkehrs-GmbH) selected HeiterBlick as a supplier of a batch of 18 five-section modular low-floor trams. They will be rated at 760 kW in order to be able to operate on the infrastructure involving steep track sections and are scheduled for delivery between 2022 and 2024.

Besides the traction equipment consisting of EmCon DI1000-5AR double traction power converters, braking resistors, control levers and components of the high-voltage equipment, the Voith product scope also includes the on-board systems and vehicle control system, as well as the diagnostics and monitoring system. The new traction systems will be manufactured at Voith plant in St. Pölten, delivery is expected to start in 2022.
