posted on 25th Jan 2019 17:08

On 24 January 2019 the Kassel-based HÜBNER Group announced that it had acquired the electronics supplier GERSYS, founded in 2001 and based in Wolfratshausen, near München, a leading supplier of instrumentation for train driving consoles. GERSYS's product range also includes vehicle computers, display systems and driver assist systems. HÜBNER is the global market leader for inter-car and inter-section gangways for buses and rail vehicles, and also manufactures damping systems, window systems, rubber profiles, polyurethane front end bumpers and entrance door ramps for rail vehicles. This take-over results in HÜBNER enhancing the product range of its Mobility business sector.

HÜBNER's General Partner Helge Förster, who is responsibly for the management of the company's Mobility sector, commented: „The acquisition of GERSYS will enable us to develop new product capabilities and at the same time to strengthen our role as a railway manufacturer supplier in areas outside our traditional product range.“
