METRANS TRAXX Fleet Complete

The last one of the TRAXX F140 MS electrics METRANS has ordered so far, 386.040, was symbolically handed over to the customer at the latter's main terminal at Praha-Uhříněves on 24 October 2018, the day before it was put in service. The second photo shows the representatives of companies involved present at the event. From left to right are Pavel Pokorný (METRANS Chief Financial Officer), Dominik Rohrer (Bombardier Transportation Project Manager for the METRANS contract), Christian Dürig (Bombardier Transportation Technical Manager for the METRANS contract), Mike Niebling (Bombardier Transportation Sales Director Locomotives), Igor Jeřábek (METRANS Rail Business and Commercial Director, and Martin Hořínek (METRANS Chief Operating Officer and METRANS Rail Managing Director).

METRANS now owns a fleet of 40 of these TRAXX locomotives, together with around 20 other diverse electrics on hire from various leasing companies to haul the services provided by its rail operating subsidiaries. The number of this machines is still slowly increasing. The latest example of these are the six TRAXX F140 AC3s currently being acquired on hire from Akiem.
