Velaro D Presentation At Krefeld

On 28 April 2010 a media event was held by DB and Siemens at the latter’s Krefeld works, where the first cars of the first of the 15 new 320 km/h Class 407 ICE3M trains are now nearing completion. This particular train is scheduled for outshopping in August, and following authorisation procedures in Germany and France is planned to be ready to enter commercial service in December 2011.

On 4 June 2010 the Stadler Rail Group formally inaugurated its new Competence centre for bogies in Winterthur, together with the expanded Competence centre for double deck EMUs in Altenrhein. That same day the first of the DOSTO EMUs for the S-Bahn Zürich suburban network was presented.

Israel Railways is developing rapidly, in response to ever-increasing road congestion. To cater for the rising demand, ISR has in recent years purchased various different types of passenger rolling stock. One invitation to tender was issued on 16 August 2004, and on 30 March 2006 Siemens was awarded a 700 million-shekel (125 million EUR) contract to build 87 Viaggio Light low floor carriages for push-pull operations

A Cluster Of RZD Contracts

On 27 May 2010, during the 5th Strategic partnership 1520 international business forum, held in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, RZD awarded several contracts and memorandums of understanding, some of them related to the 2014 Winter Olympics, which will be held in that district.

Gravita 10 BB

At InnoTrans 2008 a Gravita 10 BB, was exhibited. Then orders were coming in from Panlog, Stahl Gerlafingen, and Deutsche Bahn. All five locomotives for the two private operators have now been delivered, and one of the DB Gravitas - 260 015 - will be exhibited at InnoTrans 2010.
