More RegioPanter EMUs For ČD

On 29 March the Škoda Transportation/Škoda Vagonka consortium signed a framework agreement with České dráhy to supply up to 50 RegioPanters. Simultaneously, a purchase contract was signed for 31 EMUs, worth 3.6 billion CZK (around 144 million EUR). Most of the trains will be delivered in 2021. Designed for the 3 kV DC and 25 kV 50 Hz supply, they have a maximum speed of 160 km/h and the capacity of 140 seated passengers. The framework agreement is valid for eight years.
