OVK (UWC) Biggest Wagon Manufacturer In Russia

According to the Ranking of Russia’s Top Rolling Stock Manufacturers of 2019 compiled by INFOLine-Analitika (INFOLine-Analytics), OVK/UWC was placed first by the number of 21,000 wagons produced in Russia and second among the world’s leading manufacturers (after CRRC), jumping up from the third place it held in 2018. As reported by INFOLine-Analytics, Russian manufacturers built a total of 78,200 wagons in 2019, which represents an increase of 9.8 % over 2018.

The wagon production in Russia is expected to drop in 2020 on account of the global crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, a decline in freight loading and a surplus of wagons on the rail network.
