Class 2TE116UD Certificated

On 28 December 2012 TMH announced that Luganskteplovoz had received a certificate of compliance from RS FZhT for its Class 2TE116UD freight diesel. This locomotive is a modified version of the Class 2TE116U and is fitted with two 3,100 kW GEVO V12 engines supplied by General Electric. The photo shows 2TE116UD-001 at Kondrashovka Novaya in Ukraine on a test run on 4 September 2012.
