Dalian To Bratislava Freight

posted on 30th Oct 2017 23:04

On 27 October 2017 the first pilot service bound for Bratislava left Dalian (where the photo was taken), loaded to 41 containers carrying mostly products from manufacturers in Shandong and Liaoning provinces. The train is to be routed via the 1,520/1,435 mm break of gauge at the TKD Dobrá terminal in Slovakia, and is scheduled for arrival at the SPaP container terminal in Bratislava-Pálenisko on 13 November. According to Guizhou Panjiang Logistics, the aim is to develop a weekly service between China and Slovakia, and to start up an eastbound service in three months’ time. TKD Dobrá has been used as a transhipment location for containers from/to China for around a decade or so, however most of them have continued to or have originated in countries other than Slovakia.
