On 3 April 2020, the Czech national rail freight operator ČD Cargo ran a train under its own license in Germany for the first time. This was possible following the operator being granted the type B safety certificate by EBA, valid since 9 March 2020. The first case was a trainload of timber, which ran whole the way from the Czech border station of Břeclav as far as Ingolstadt by ČD Cargo’s own driver and Vectron 383.011. ČD Cargo is active in Austria using its own license since January 2019.
