ComfortJet testing continues

After the four cars from the first shortened, six-car ComfortJet test set were transported from VUZ Velim test circuit to Austria on 10 November 2023, they already started the tests on the ÖBB network. During these test runs, speeds of up to 230 km/h will be reached on selected sections using ÖBB Tauruses (Vectrons are currently restricted to a maximum of 160 km/h on Austrian railways in regular service).

Exactly one week after the first eight-car ComfortJet set appeared in Velim, a Class BRmpz restaurant was also delivered to Velim. It was coupled to a nine-car railjet 2 non-traction multiple unit for ÖBB.
