First ComfortJet on test

On 11 September 2023, the first ComfortJet for ČD arrived at Velim, having left the Škoda Vagonka works in Ostrava a day earlier. This is the first, shortened set consisting of only six cars (instead of nine).

This marks the beginning of extensive testing and approval, at the end of which the Siemens Mobility - Škoda Transportation consortium must obtain approval for regular operation of ComfortJet NMUs. They are to be put into operation gradually in 2024 - 26. ČD wants to start the test operation with passengers between Praha and Ostrava and then extend it to "Berliner" services between Praha and Berlin.
