posted on 2nd Mar 2016 19:07

After 26 months DB group subsidiary ARRIVA vlaky restarted regular Praha suburban services. This time the service runs to the south of the city, over the 49 km between Praha hl. n. and Benešov u Prahy. ARRIVA vlaky now offers seven limited-stop train pairs each weekday, provided using ex-DB Class 628 DMU 845.001. The first two photos, taken at Praha hl. n. on the first day of services, 29 February 2016, show trains with reporting numbers Sp 1387 and Sp 1389 bound for Benešov u Prahy. The second photo also includes ČD’s EMU 471.073 at the same platform, waiting between trains Os 2542/2549, which are all-stations services on the same route. The third photo was taken at Benešov u Prahy on 25 February, during a presentation run. On 5 March 2016 ARRIVA vlaky is to start an express weekend return service from Praha via Olomouc, Uherské Hradiště and Bylnice to Trenčín in Slovakia.
