New Stadler's Sochaczew Maintenance Works

A year after the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony, the Stadler maintenance and repair hall in Sochaczew (west of Warsawa) was finished. On 18 May 2022 the manufacturer celebrated the officially opening with Koleje Mazowieckie (KM) and the authorities of Województwo Mazowieckie (Mazovia).

The modern facility will provide maintenance services for the KM’s FLIRT EMUs, successively delivered by Stadler under the framework agreement from 2018 for the supply of 61 units. The new hall with a total area of 2,500 m2 has two service tracks, a warehouse, a workshop, a technical room, an office and social facilities, track and road infrastructure, and a parking lot.

The new facility will complement the capacity of the existing KM’s Warszawa-Grochów depot. From the 61strong new batch 32 FLIRTs have been delivered so far. At the Sochaczew event was present the 16th unit, with the end cars 2 141 288 + 289 and the intermediate ones 2 141 290 to 292.
