EP Cargo Invest Receives More Vectrons

posted on 31st Mar 2019 20:30

On 27 March 2019 at the VUZ Velim test base EP Cargo Invest took over all three of the Class 383 Vectrons MSes which it had ordered in November 2018 (with an option for seven more). They are to be employed soon on the haulage of EP Cargo’s own freights within Poland and between Germany and Poland. In the longer term it is planned to incorporate them in LokoTrain’s motive power leasing pool.

LokoTrain is an EP Cargo sister company, and like the latter is owned by the Energetický a průmyslový holding (EPH). Although being a licensed operator, LokoTrains’ primary activity is the short- and medium-term hire of motive power to interested operators in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and also in neighbouring countries. Fleet used for this purpose includes Vectrons 193  220, 221, 222 and 724 on hire from ELL and EP Cargo Invest’s 193 823 and 193 844. Following the handover, on the same day 383.060 was temporarily incorporated in Loko Train’s pool.
