Another new-built locomotive at RBD was a representative of the multiple-voltage version of the Dragon 2 family. Machine 3 260 037 (E6MST-037) comes from an order from the Polish operator Rail STM. In 2021, it purchased one machine with a diesel Last Mile module and briefly leased two more locomotives of the purely DC version from Newag, but these two were returned.
This year, Rail STM will gradually take delivery of four more Dragons, resulting in five altogether. In March and April, it already put two DC Dragons with a Last Mile module into operation, and now two dual-voltage ones are following - the locomotive on display will be handed over to the customer in July and the second one in August.
Rail STM specializes in heavy-duty transport, also has four six-axle Maxima 40 CC diesels in its fleet. Dragon 2s in the 3/25 kV version have been appearing on the Czech network for two years now and are commonly operated by PKP CARGO, from which its subsidiary PKP CARGO INTERNATIONAL also rents them. These machines are currently being delivered to Akiem, so far six ones were handed over (E6MST-025 - 030). Two of them are rented by Budamar Logistic.
