First ESD162 in Żmigród

NEWAG is progressing with the implementation of the contract for 35 EDMUs for PKP IC, which were ordered in May 2024. At the beginning of June, ESD162-001 was brought to the test circuit in Żmigród. The vehicle is undergoing tests of the propulsion, braking and control systems, etc., and is expected to remain there until November or December. It is envisaged to be handed over to the operator in early 2027, with the delivery of the entire batch expected to end in the second quarter of 2029.
