MSV elektronika of Studénka (Czech Republic) presented its new exterior LED lights of Types MTL 04 and BKS_PAR 56. Their advantage over classic incandescent or halogen luminaires is not only (as usual) higher reliability, longer lifetime and lower operation and maintenance costs, but also the fact that thanks to the new design, the optical part can be folded into any shape, so that the external form of the lights can be adapted to individual customer requirements. 

MTL 04 is a design luminaire that operates with a voltage of 16.8 - 30 V DC and has a diameter of 197 mm and a height of 69 mm. This light has already been installed on AŽD Praha’s RegioSprinter DMUs and ČD’s Class 646 (ex-DB) GTW 2/6 DMUs. 

The BKS_PAR 56 lights is fitted with custom-made optics for the best possible performance. It operates at 24 - 110 V DC, has a diameter of 177 mm and a height of 90 mm; so far it is in the approval phase as this year's novelty, after which MSV elektronika plans to distribute it worldwide. The two types shown here can of course be used on new vehicles as well as replacing existing incandescent luminaires in retrofits.
