On 24 February 2021, OVK (UWC) and the Estonian Skinest Rail group have signed a contract for the supply of 23 LPG tank wagons, destined for operation in the Baltic states. A complete batch to be built at TikhvinKhimMash of Tikhvin is scheduled for delivery in June this year. Skinest Rail will be the first CIS operator of the 120 km/h Model 15-6855 wagons with an increased tank volume of 86.7 m³ and equipped with the 25 t axle-load bogies.
Andrey Krivchenkov, OVK Executive Director, said: „OVK is systematically developing its export activities. The 1520 space outside Russia is of interest to us, and we are expanding the deliveries of new generation wagons of various types that have already proven themselves on the domestic market. Cooperation with such a reputable company as Skinest Rail is another step forward in the implementation of our export programme and an opportunity to show other market players the advantages of wagons, particularly LPG tank wagons, manufactured in Tikhvin.“
