On 21 February 2020, the official presentation of just eight Griffin electric locomotives for PKP Intercity took place at Nowy Sącz.

The presented locomotives EU160-001 to 008 form part of deliveries of the largest order in the PKP Intercity history, this covering the purchase in total of 30 Griffin locomotives worth over 550 million PLN (around 130 million EUR) together with maintenance being realised by Newag. In coming days the octet will be sent to Warszawa for takeover by the operator.
