On the night of 12 - 13 October 2025, the first electric FLIRT from the order signed in June 2023 was delivered to the Vilnius intermodal terminal. The contract includes nine five-car EMUs for intercity traffic on the Vilnius - Klaipėda route and six three-car BEMUs for non-electrified lines, namely Kaunas - Šiauliai and Vilnius - Varėna - Marcinkonys.
The final assembly is taking place at the Stadler Siedlce works. Due to the different track gauge of the Polish and Lithuanian railways and the different loading gauge, the train was delivered to Lithuania as separate cars on road semi-trailers. After being rerailed, the cars will be linked to a trainset that will begin test runs at the end of October. The first new FLIRTs are scheduled to enter service in 2026. The interior of the new trains can be seen here.
