FLIRTs For S-Bahn Hannover

On 7 November 2018 Transdev awarded Stadler a 320 million EUR contract to design, build and deliver 64 160 km/h three-car FLIRT EMUs for use on the suburban lines in Hannover following a Europe-wide tender to operate the suburban railway in the capital of Niedersachsen. From December 2021 the Transdev subsidiary Nordwestbahn will be operating there 10 lines. Transdev now operates a fleet of 100 FLIRTs of various configurations in Germany.
