RAILPOOL Acquired KTG GmbH

posted on 5th Jul 2021 16:27

On 5 July 2021, the RAILPOOL Group announced that it takes over the Duisburg-based KTG GmbH works. With the acquisition of the service site located at the world's largest inland port in Duisburg, the company is further expanding its own maintenance network. RAILPOOL now operates three own workshops at the most important freight hubs in Germany, which can be used by all customers and locomotives for preventive and corrective services - the other two are in Hamburg: Ajax Loktechnik and RAILPOOL Lokservice.

Carsten Janneck, who founded KTG in 2008, will continue to lead the company as managing director. He said: „My staff and I are looking forward to a successful and even more intensive collaboration with our colleagues at RAILPOOL. An almost fully equipped workshop, stabling facilities for locomotives and highly motivated technicians offer our customers a wide range of maintenance options in the heart of the Ruhr region.“
