Vectrons for Srbija voz

On 20 August 2026, Srbija voz signed a contract for the purchase of six Vectron MS locomotives. After a public tender and evaluation of the bids of Alstom and Siemens, the latter was selected and the contract was signed with Siemens Mobility d. o. o. Cerovac and Siemens Mobility Austria GmbH.
In addition to the delivery of the six locomotives, which is expected in mid-2027, the contract will also include its maintenance for the 8 years and training of the personnel. The Vectrons with a maximum speed of 200 km/h and a power of 6,400 kW will allow Srbija voz to replace electric locomotives, which have been in operation for approximately 40 years and require greater investment in maintenance.
