Six More Class EP2D EMUs For TsPPK

During September and October 2020, DMZ delivered six  Class EP2D EMUs to TsPPK. The contracts were signed in September and October 2020, all trains were built in an 11-car version and in the corporate white-gray colors of Tsentralnaya passazhirskaya kompania (Tsentral suburban passenger company). The first three units, EP2D-0113, 0116 and 0117, were handed over to the Moskva-based operator in September, and the remaining three, EP2D-0118, 0120 and 0121, in October.

TsPPK, the largest suburban operator in Russia, has been purchasing the 3 kV DC Class EP2D EMUs since 2016, and now its fleet comprises 108 11-car trains of this type (1,188 cars).

Since the beginning of production, DMZ (Demikhovsky mashinostroitelny zavod, Demikhovsky machinery works) has produced 1,286 Class EP2D cars in total.
