Stadler Bussnang and Stadler Rheintal merged

Stadler Bussnang AG and Stadler Rheintal AG (i. e. the St. Margrethen and Altenrhein works) are joining forces and merged to form Stadler Rail Schweiz AG on 20 June 2025. The merger promotes collaboration between the two locations and simplifies administrative processes.

It is a purely legal merger of the two companies. For tax purposes, it is retroactive to 1 January 2025. Although the two locations will now operate under one roof, they will continue to operate with their existing organizational and management structures. The Rheintal location will legally operate as a branch office.

The merger will have no noticeable impact on employees: employment contracts, management and work locations will remain unchanged. For customers and suppliers, nothing will change except the name.
