On 19 October 2021, TMH announced that it sent to Uzbekistan two Class 2TE25KM diesel locomotives. They are 2TE25KM-559 and 560, built at BMZ, and are destined for NGMK (Navoisky gorno-metallurgichesky kombinat), the Navoi mining and metallurgical plant, state enterprise.

The contract was concluded in the first half of 2021, and the new locomotives will be incorporated in the company’s fleet, which already uses four 2TE25KM locomotives, which were built in 2019 and 2020 (2TE25KM-0473, 474, 521 and 522).

The high traction characteristics enables the new locomotives to haul trains weighing over 6,000 tonnes. This allowed NGMK to increase the volume of transported freight and significantly reduce the average delivery time.
