Vectrons With Last Mile For ČD Cargo Arrived

On 3 March 2023, the two Vectron AC DPM locomotives ordered by ČD Cargo were delivered to the latter’s České Budějovice depot. They are designated 393.001 and 002, and are primarily intended for operation in Austria and Germany (similar to the two TRAXX2 F140 AC LMs rented by ČD Cargo from Railpool), but also in the Czech Republic, and possibly also in Slovakia and Hungary. Approval for Vectron AC DPM locomotives to operate in the Czech Republic was granted already in October 2017. As of mid-February 2023, Siemens had delivered a total of 35 locomotives of this type.
