ZSSK RegioPanter On Test

While the batch production of three-car Class 661 RegioPanters for ZSSK is in progress, the prototype four-car EMUs 660.001 and 002 are located at the VUZ Velim test centre and type and authorisation tests are being carried out with them. On 1 June, the VÚKV testing laboratory started testing the running safety and running characteristics of 660.002 on the Správa železnic (ex-SŽDC) lines. The test runs with a maximum speed of 160 km/h (and subsequently 176 km/h) were made with an idle RegioPanter hauled by a ČD locomotive 380.013; the operator of test trains was ČD.
