After factory static tests were conducted, CAF began test runs with its prototype Electric-Hydrogen Multiple Unit (EHMU) from the Civia family at the end of July. During the tests on the Adif network, the function of the fuel cells and balancing batteries will be optimised, on routes that have been specifically selected as representative of the train's potential use in regular service.
