ForCity Smart For Bonn

Today, Škoda Transportation won a contract worth around 160 million EUR for the supply of 26 three-section ForCity Smart trams for Stadtwerke Bonn (SWB), this including a supply of spare parts for 25 years and an option for up to twelve more vehicles.
The ForCity Smart trams for Bonn are bi-directional, 30 m long 100 % low-floor vehicles with swiveling bogies, and full vehicle adhesion. The interior which will accommodate up to 180 passengers will be designed using the ideas of the future of tram transport. Passengers can look forward to comfortable spacious barrier-free vehicles, inside of which there will be two large multifunctional spaces for wheelchairs, prams, or bicycles.
