On 3 November 2025, the first seven Škoda ForCity Plus 52T trams hit the streets of Praha, on Line 12 Lehovec - Sídliště Barrandov, where they now make up approximately a third of the vehicles used. This is possible thanks to the fact that the type approval process was completed by mid-October. The fully low-floor Škoda trams of the latest generation passed all technical tests and by September had covered the required 20,000 km without passengers and another 20,000 km with passengers, bringing them closer to being handed over to the ownership of the DPP and put into regular operation.
In mid-October, 13 trams were already present in the Hloubětín depot, and the remaining seven were in an advanced stage of production. According to the contract, Škoda Group will deliver them no later than the beginning of this December, i. e. just two years after the signing of the contract. The trams themselves received homologation in just 22 months. According to the framework agreement, Škoda can deliver up to 200 trams: this year's 20 will be joined by another 20 next year, and DPP can exercise an option for the rest.
