More EffiShunters For Italy

CZ LOKO and Costruzioni Linee Ferroviarie (CLF), which specialises in the construction and maintenance of railway lines, have concluded a framework contract for the supply of 10 Class 741.7 locomotives.

In the first phase, two new-built EffiShunters will be delivered by the end of 2021. The remaining eight will be upgrades of the existing Class 740 machines that CLF already uses in track construction and maintenance. The locomotives will be fitted with a 1,000 kW  CAT 3508 C engine and their maintenance will be provided by CZ LOKO Italia.

So far, a total of 13 Class 741.7 EffiShunters are in operation in Italy, at five operators.
