More Vectron DM Locomotives For DB Cargo

On 18 January 2022, DB Cargo and DB Bahnbaugruppe ordered a total of 50 Vectron Dual Mode locomotives from Siemens Mobility. Their deliveries will start in 2026, and they will have the traction equipment for 15 kV 16.7 Hz and will be fitted with the PZB ATP.

With this order, DB is exercising the option under the framework contract for up to 400 locomotives of this type, which was concluded in September 2020 and of which 100 were ordered at that time. As DB Bahnbau will receive four locomotives from the option, the DB Cargo fleet will grow by 146 Vectron DM locomotives.

To date, Siemens Mobility has sold 195 Vectron Dual Mode locomotives to 18 customers.
