Hungarian Vectrons run to Košice

Since 1 October 2026, MÁV Vectrons began operating to Košice. This follows an agreement reached between ZSSK and MÁV during a meeting in Košice on 9 June 2026. Consequently, the „Hornád“ Miskolc - Hidasnémeti - Košice long-distance services are now hauled by these locomotives along the entire route. The agreement remains in effect until the end of the current timetable, i. e. until 12 December 2026.
