WESTbahn prepares SMILE EMUs for operation

Following the units from CRRC, WESTbahn will put another type of new train into service. The first of three SMILE high-speed trains ordered by the operator has been delivered to Austria and is scheduled to enter service in March on the Wien - Villach route via the recently opened Koralmbahn. After preparatory work at Westbox in Linz, unit 501 042 moved to Wien and then to southern Austria.
