A new RegioPanter BEMU on test at VUZ Velim

On 6 January 2026, RegioPanter 690.002 unit arrived at the VUZ Velim test centre. It is the second vehicle from a 15-strong batch for the MSK (Moravskoslezský kraj, Moravian-Silesian Region) ordered in June 2024 (Type Škoda 15Ev5).
At TRAKO 2025, the 690.001 was exhibited as a representative of this new generation of the two-car BEMUs, which follow on from the four Class 690.2 BEMUs (Type Škoda 15Ev3). The Class 690 units have a different type of battery (from ABB instead of Toshiba), only three entrance doors on each side and various other differences.
