ComfortJet enters the next phase of its testing

On 11 June 2024, ČD ComfortJet 002 NMU, built by Škoda and Siemens consortium, conducted another test run from depot south in Praha, this time a shortened to Plzeň hl. n. station. The previous runs took place between Praha and Cheb. The test train was again in a configuration with an additional Class Bmz coach and Vectron locomotives at both ends of the train.

The following day, i. e. on Wednesday 12 June 2024, the ComfortJet NMU in its temporary formation without driving trailer and its own restaurant car is scheduled to be put into service with passengers for the first time, on the Praha - Bohumín IC 511 Ostravan train. The ČD reservation system indicates to include a Class WRmz⁸¹⁵ restaurant car in the train.
