The first Class 384 Vectrons in Praha

As we mentioned at the beginning of July, the production of the Class 384 locomotives for ČD is underway at the München-Allach works. These are Vectron MSes with a maximum speed of 230 km/h, twenty of which are intended for ComfortJet NMUs and another thirty for other purposes.

The first machines to be brought to the Czech Republic were the 384.001, 002 and 004, which crossed the state border via Bad Schandau - Děčín on Monday 11 August in a train also carrying a Talgo for Leo Express and a Class ETR 108 Coradia Stream EMU for Trenitalia. While both of the aforementioned units continued on 12 August to the VUZ Velim, the new Vectrons were transported to the Praha-Vršovice depot.
