On 12 August 2025, a Talgo VI unit arrived at the VUZ Velim test centre from Spain, one of three that Renfe will lease to Leo Express. On 29 August, the unit with the designation 6B16 was transported to Kutná Hora to PARI CZ Servis. Meanwhile, LE announced in October that it plans to launch a new line from Praha to Bratislava via Přerov, Hulín and Otrokovice from 30 April 2026, which will be served by Talgos hauled by Vectron. The same composition is also to appear on the Praha - Žilina - Prešov line from the same date instead of FLIRT EMUs, which will instead be used for international services to Poland.
On 15 January 2026, a test run was carried out with the Talgo 6B16 between Kutná Hora and nearby Čáslav, for which a TRAXX from RegioJet was used. Two more Talgos are due to arrive in the Czech Republic in the next weeks. It remains to be seen whether Leo Express will be able to start the promised services with Talgos from the end of April.
