New KISSes For WESTbahn

Today, WESTbahn, Stadler and Austrian Train Finance AG (wholly owned by Peter Spuhler's PCS Holding) signed the contract worth under 300 million EUR for delivery of 15 six-car double-deck KISS EMUs, which will on the Wien - Salzburg services replace the existing WESTbahn fleet sold in July to Deutsche Bahn. CRRC also competed for the contract, but Stadler succeeded thanks to its overall package comprising of building the trains, their maintenance and financing. Delivery of the new KISSes is scheduled for 2021.
