ÖBB's regional KISSes authorised

On 23 April 2026, Stadler announced that the Class 4734 and 4736 KISSes have been approved for operation in Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The approval for Austria was already processed last year, and now the two other countries have been added. This decision paves the way for the start of regular passenger services with the regional KISS units at ÖBB. The carrier will hold a press conference in Vienna on 6 May and a premiere run, when it will announce further details.
