RAILPOOL Orders More TRAXXes

On 21 February 2023 RAILPOOL and Alstom signed a framework contract comprising 27 TRAXX3 AC and DC locomotives and an option for 15 more. The locomotives are intended for use in Poland, Italy, Norway and Sweden and will be manufactured at the Kassel and Vado Ligure works for delivery starting in 2024.

Further to the investment in new rolling stock, RAILPOOL will be shifting nine additional TRAXX AC2 locomotives of its existing fleet to Sweden and Norway, where RAILPOOL operates three own workshop locations in Oslo, Gothenburg and Malmö since the takeover of Nordisk TogTeknikk and its 100 % daughter NTT Sverige in 2022.

Notably, with this latest order, RAILPOOL has become the lessor with the biggest homogeneous fleet of TRAXX3 DC Last Mile locomotives in Italy, where RAILPOOL has its office in Savona. In Poland, at the beginning of February, RAILPOOL celebrated the official office inauguration for the newly established Railpool Polska in Poznań.
